Shipplotter Charts

First download Winrar to your Desktop. Click here to download

Then double-click winrar390.exe and install Winrar

Then download my charts to your Desktop. Click here to download

Then locate the folder on your hard disk that Shipplotter uses to keep your charts. You can find that out using figure below...

Make a note of the location of the folder.

Then double-click the charts.rar file on your Desktop and extract it to your Desktop, see below...

Click Close

Click the Extract To button then OK

You should now have a folder on the Desktop called charts.

Open the charts folder and select and copy all the files.

Then open the folder from the location you noted down earlier and paste all the chart files into it.

Shipplotter should now have all the charts, if you can't see them give me an email, the address is at the bottom of this page.

Google Earth & Marine Traffic Overlay

These days I use Google Earth 5 and a Marine Traffic overlay more than Shipplotter.

If you don't have it download Google Earth 5 to your Desktop. Click here to download

Install Google Earth 5 by double-clicking the GoogleEarthSetup.exe file on your Desktop.

Then download the overlay file and put it in your Documents folder. Click here

Then open your Documents folder and double-click the ge_marinetraffic.kml file.

Google Earth should now open and in a few seconds ships should appear.

When closing Google Earth remember to save Temporary Places.
